The Story Behind Our Air Collection

A new era at Made For It obviously calls for a brand new line of wetsuits! Our Elemental series has been in the works for a year now, and we can’t wait to finally get these suits into your hands! As our business is growing and expanding, we are so excited to be releasing these suits with the vision to redefine the wetsuit industry.

Our Air Collection is the first release in the Elemental series, and has been designed to be the most versatile. It is for everything to do with swimming, snorkelling, and tow sports – basically everything where you want a little bit more warmth and protection at the surface.

We are also excited to announce that this will be our first (highly requested) pink collection! These wetsuits are made to be bold and stand out, because you deserve to be the centre of attention.

Meet The Wetsuits

The Air Springie follows our OG Springie design, but with a front zip for the first time ever! The Air Springie is a great suit that will be good at anything you ask of her. Like all of the wetsuits in this collection, she features 2mm Yamamoto 39 limestone neoprene and padded zips, making her perfect wetsuit for those hot summer days when you want a little bit more sun protection during your sessions. 

The Air Long Jane has been designed with versatility and flexibility in mind. This full length suit makes for a great choice on those days when you want a bit more protection on your legs from reef rash or the sun. The sleeveless design also means you don’t have to compromise on range of motion in the arms, making it perfect for paddling on a warmer surf day.

For those of you looking for a bit of extra warmth on diving days, the Air Springie and the Air Long Jane have been designed to perfectly layer together. Layering these suits will give you 4mm of neoprene around the core and 2mm on your arms and legs. This combo gives you all the benefits of warmth without compromising on any of the flexibility we know you all want. Layering the Springie and the Long Jane is also a great all-year-round option for our tropical and warm water gals, allowing you to get the ultimate value and use out of these suits.

Next up, we have our bestselling Air Shortie. The Shortie features a padded zip which comes to just below the waist, which makes it super easy to pull on and off. The thoughtful seam placement has been designed to accentuate your curves while reducing rubbing and maximising freedom of movement. The Shortie will easily become your go-to wetsuit for tropical diving holidays, year-round surf sessions, and basically everything else in between.

Finally, we have our favourite, and most controversial, suit of the collection: The Air Halter. The Halter is designed to be the ultimate minimal summer suit. She features full-coverage neoprene across the torso and bum to protect from the board rash you would normally get from surfing in a bikini. The front of the suit will also protect you from any windchill coming at you, which is where you will usually want that little bit of extra warmth in summer. The layer of hip padding on the Halter also makes for the perfect protective layer for wearing a weight belt when diving.
